True to size- mid rise. I wear a medium in these and consistently wear a 27 in jeans. I have a smaller waist and bigger booty so sized up to a medium for a little extra room through the thighs and behind. I couldn’t even get the smalls over my backside- so if you have extra back there, I recommend sizing up.
